Raised in the Chicago area, Merlyn moved to central Ohio and built her home in Fairfield County. Merlyn loves that her daughter and son-in-love built their home close by! Her stepsons and their families live further away (one in Germany and one in Ross County) but she tries to keep in touch. Merlyn’s husband is retired Army and serves now at their church.
For years, Merlyn has volunteered at The Foundation Dinners in Lancaster, Ohio, where she enjoys sharing her faith before serving the meals. Participation in local community theater allows Merlyn to exercise her love of theater and singing. Merlyn serves her church by playing piano and singing, teaching, and leading home Bible study groups.
Merlyn enjoys reading, spending time in the outdoors, gardening, or relaxing around the pool. Merlyn hopes to find more time to work on her craft and needlework projects. Her fur family expands while bottle-feeding abandoned orphan kittens. They’re ready for new homes.
Merlyn’s sister invited her to come on a tour of Ireland. It was wonderful! Merlyn loved to travel before, but now she’s made a bucket list.
