But if you’re using our Done Deal Website service, you don’t need to pay for web hosting because it’s included. But if you’re managing your own website, you’ll need web hosting.
Basically, web hosting is like renting space on a computer that has a really fast connection to the internet and is designed for websites. Every website has to be hosted somewhere.
I’ve used many different web hosting companies over the past 20 years or so. Some of them have been great, and others have been garbage, and of course lots in between.

Here are several good choices:
My current favorite web host is WP Engine. It’s designed specifically for WordPress-based websites. It’s not cheap, but the support is good and the quality of the service is great. That’s who we use for our Done Deal Website service.
However, that’s not in a lot of people’s budget, so here are some other options:
Name Cheap has a good plan for hosting a WordPress site too and it’s much cheaper than WP Engine. When you go to the link above, go to Hosting ->WordPress Hosting. Be sure to go to Hosting -> WordPress on that page because it will be easier for setting up and will cost you less. As of this writing, they’re running a special where you can get your first year for under $10.
HostGator has been around quite a while and has decent hosting. I’ve used them for many years and they’re pretty good for the price. What I don’t like is that sometimes I’ve had issues with emails from my websites not getting through to me. So people fill out a form on my website and I don’t get it. So that’s not good. But, overall it’s been good.
